SIBERIA

The bodies were mumified in the climatic conditions of the time. The dead were in coffins made in a trunk. All the bodies of prazyryk were embalmend even the servants. In three of the graves the king was next to the queen. The bodies of two mens, certainly chiefs had very complex tattoos representing imaginary animals.

the celtes were a tribal people who moved across western europe between 1200 bc and 700 ad. Their culture survived in areas known as ireland scotland and wales. In the celtic culture spirallike tattoos are very common, plaited lines lines symbolises that every lives are linked. Labyrinths symbolise the different ways the life can take.

In algeria the lily is the most spread between men and women and it's a part of the traditional medicine. The lily, the cross and the dot are well spread design. The beni-douala who were known to have the most beautifull tattoos, recognized themselves by two dots on the calf.

 

In marocco the berber culture which is very ancient kept it's traditions and rites among them tattoo. We can't talk about bebrber's tattoos without talking of sorcery, magical and pagan rites. Nowadays in marocco tattoo is still part of the berber tradition but for religious reasons people prefer to use henna. The aesthetic side is as important as the magical one.

It said that Ye the ancester of the culte of ta tan the totem of the frog and the snake. consequently ta tan love to enbroider the snake or the worn on his clothers and skin.

 

the phenomenon is extincted, but the images of tattoo push people to look bacward in time/ the total entity of the conscience and the aesthetical poursuit amo,ng the lis, nature, cult of nature, culte of totem and ancesters.
